The name of the exhibition loosely associates this meaning, as well as the question of asserting oneself in the world of artistic ideas and in life in general. The chosen selection of works is full of paradoxes that open not only to painting and its relationship to other media, but also to the intermediality of its social and institutional dimension.

Diverse approaches, including painting, drawing, objects, digital technologies, work with material and performative activities are fragments of a statement about the character of the studio as a willing collective artistic platform.

The strong individual approach of young artists, the verification of their own abilities and possibilities, variable and reversible methods of creation is an imaginary network that connects individual approaches, wherever and whenever they are.

Anna Mária Beňová in her paintings ironizes her insurmountable objectification or optimization of relationships, she sharpens banal situations to the point of absurdity, that alienation is unbearable even for the viewer. Beňová is interested in male-female relationships, but also their impossibility: fulfilled and unfulfilled feelings, desires and joys of actors in a metaphorical sense.
